TAKE OUR (LASH) ADVICE
Applying lashes, like most things worth a damn, is all trial and error. But don’t fret! We crowdsourced some of the most helpful tips and tricks from folks who want to pass on their lash wisdom.

What’s your best lash advice?
Easy technique to apply your lashes - Grab a mirror and hold it directly under your chin and look down into the mirror. Drop the lash down onto the lash line - Wait for it to dry about 10 seconds then readjust. Best way to get the lash as close to skin as possible! –@terriwatsonbeauty

Let the glue get tacky enough to where there is no slippage when you place it on the lid. I also like to press my natural lashes into the false lashes with an eyelash curler (or The Lash Tool) and squeeze them together! –@karinamilan__
⠀
Before applying your lashes, wiggle the band a bit to make it less stiff. –@katarinakovac
⠀
Use liquid liner on your top lid to hide your strip lash. Dark tone Duo is better for blending. –@kelsaj

Give the glue a minute to get tacky. And flirt with yourself in the mirror ;) This step is the most important, positive reinforcement, always!!! –@ayatariqmua
⠀
The position of the mirror! Hold a mirror below your chin and look down for a simpler application as this way you can see the entire anatomy of eye shape and lashes. –@isabelyrosado

For those who have lids with some skin that overhangs their lash line, use your other hand to gently lift your eyelid, exposing the lash line. Once you place the falsie on your lash line, you can adjust with your fingers or The Lash Tool. –@kdeford

When in doubt, reapply. Also, if it’s poking you now, it will poke you all day! –@jehxshua
⠀
If you’re using squeezy glue, apply it first to a toothpick or bobby pin. Run that over the lash band rather than trying to apply the glue directly to the band. You’ll get fewer blobs. –@schmollypops
⠀
Apply glue to the lash as well as the inner and outer corners of your eyelid to stop the edges from peeling up. –@paularoncollins
