How did you get into makeup, or what's your first memory with makeup?

Beauty has always been around for me, my mother is a hairstylist. As a Latina, beauty plays such a major role in our routines from youth. All the self care avenues! My very first memory of makeup was watching my mom lean into the mirror of her dresser, dusting blush to her cheekbones and applying her orange terracotta lipstick which was in this very chic art deco gold tube whilst also admiring her gorgeous baroque pearl studded earrings. She then applied a light satin of her lipstick on me.

What is one makeup product you cannot live without?

Ah that's hard. I try not to be married to products but if I had to choose ... MAC Boldy Bare or Spice Lip liner. They are my favorite, and I have them in all my handbags.

What makes you feel the most seen?

When I'm wearing a red lip. When I've washed my face and done all of my nighttime skin rituals and my skin is clean and glowy.

We know makeup is a powerful tool to feel confident - what does it mean to you to be a strong woman?

Makeup definitely makes me feel fearless, confident and powerful, but makeup is merely an accessory to me. Being comfortable in my own skin and liking what I see in the mirror is most powerful and pure.

Mental strength. Words of affirmation are my two biggest ones. If you mentally believe it, it will show and shine to the world. We all have tough days, and some days are harder to pull through than others, but being my biggest cheerleader makes me strong. Words of affirmation make me strong minded: You are worthy You are strong Keep Going!! (that’s my biggest one on days I feel down) You are beautiful.

Whether it is hyping myself up for an outfit while looking in the mirror on days when I don’t feel my best, or powering through a busy demanding day and balancing family and work. Taking time for selfcare like getting my nails done, hair, or simply going on a walk with my dogs. Anytime I take time to reflect, and have some alone time to fill my cup... I am the strongest woman in the WORLD.

Who’s another female in your life that’s influenced you?

It’s hard to name just one! If I had to name just one it would be my mom. But to answer this question in a genuine way, I would say all the women I saw growing up in my life. From the minimalist to the maximalist. All different styles. All different ways of living. I would say I’d take a little bit of everything, and bring it into my own.

What is your favorite LoveSeen lash & why?

I love Levi & Inez! They are my most used and so different.

I love "Levi" because it gives a gorgeous snatched effect. It enhances any kind of wing liner, but also looks great without a wing.

Inez because of its individual clusters -- you can customize how many of them you want to use and where. Gives cool mod doe-eye vibes.

Any advice for lash beginners?

Be patient. It definitely takes time. Play with different sizes and see what fits you the most. Use Green labeled Duo Glue. Take a mirror and look down when placing lash. Cut lash in half or in threes and work in sections and slowly. Be patient!
