Jenna's November Faves

Featuring a turkey-proof lip stain

Jenna's November Faves

“The holidays send me into abject fear and terror. I’ve always struggled with gift-giving. Don’t know why. I guess I get overly excited and want to do something special, then wait till the last minute and get something lame. I’m going to do everything in my power to start now, November 5, 2021.”

What lipstick lasts through a Thanksgiving feast?

My latest Instagram obsession is these tattoo lip stains that come in a cotton swab. You break off the top, wait for a few seconds, and it literally stains your lips. I watched a bunch of girls do this on Instagram. One left it on for five hours, went on her day, came back, and it was still there. While I can’t say I’ve done it myself, I can say I’m going to try.

What host gift should we bring to our next Friendsgiving?

Incense, candles, funny monogrammed napkins, special olive oil or balsamic (a little more high end than you would normally purchase—think Wonder Valley), a new product you’ve discovered. Don’t overthink the wrapping; use yesterday’s newspaper and neon tape.

What’s the first food you take a bite of at Thanksgiving?

The pie.

When is it appropriate to start decorating for the holidays?

December 24th.

Go-to makeup look for Thanksgiving?

My go-to is usually a smokey eye, just because I have yet to try the tattoo lip and know I’m in for a lot of food intake. This year, I’ll be wearing NOOR, which is my new drama favorite. Gotta represent.

Talk to us about dessert.

I know it’s not traditional, but I’m deeply committed to the pavlova. My bestie is Australian.
